My friends told me to be careful but I didn’t take their advice. It was 21:00 o’clock on a Friday night. I was returning home from my karate lesson. I was alone in the dark streets of Larissa. I was a little bit scared of being alone for too long. I was halfway home with nobody around, just me and the cars on the road.
I almost got home. The only thing between me and my house was a road. I was scared because the cars were going very fast. But I took the risk and I decided to cross the road. But then someone pushed me while I was crossing the road. I was terrified. I was falling in front of a car which was going fast. I thought that was my end, but then an unknown man grabbed me at the last second and saved me from death. My heart was racing. The unknown man told me to be more careful in the future and disappeared into the dark.
I was so lucky to be alive. When I got home, I told my parents what had happened and they thanked God I was okay. Then I tried to relax watching TV for the last two hours of the day. From that night on I am much more careful when crossing roads and now I always take my friends’ advice. If you are reading this – thank you for saving me, unknown man!
